In order to ensure a stable supply of high-precision rollers, Tohshin Seiki places special emphasis upon production facilities to manufacture rollers, including outer diameter grinding machines, and has been developing and manufacturing such equipment in-house. The sales of these machines by Tohshin Technical Co., Ltd. to other companies have proven their capabilities.
Our tireless, day-to-day efforts of technological innovation have enabled us to achieve a market share of 70% in Japan, and 10% worldwide, for some types of products.
As well as conforming to the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS), our rollers, most of which are custom designed for each customer each time, satisfy higher standards. Furthermore, with our management system accredited with ISO9000 and ISO14000 certification, we adopt even stricter standards to assure the precision required by customers.

Roller Applications

Tohshin Seiki supplies rollers to such companies as major bearing manufacturers and industrial machinery manufacturers to be used as components of various types of bearings. These high-precision rollers facilitate smooth rotation of bearings, reducing starting torque and contributing to longer life of end products.

  • Automobile components: suspension hubs, engines, transmissions, etc.
  • Industrial machinery components: speed reducers, motors, cam followers, etc.

In addition to applications to rotating components (bearings), rollers are also used as coupling pins for steering rods, multipurpose engines, etc.
